Mary Sumner is Professor of Computer Management and Information Systems and Associate Dean, School of Business, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. Prior to that, she was on the faculty of New York University. She has been responsible for building the undergraduate and graduate programs in CMIS and has taught for 28 years in the areas of management of information technology, information systems design, project management, software systems design, and enterprise systems design. Dr. Sumner served as chief information officer for academic affairs and was responsible for organizing and managing information services to support the quality and effectiveness of academic programs at the university. She organizes business/university partnerships and executive programs in leadership, project management, and health informatics. She has taught ERP systems design at the Norwegian School of Logistics over the past five years, and teaches executive MBA courses in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Dr. Sumner has served as Conference Chair, ACM SIGCPR, 1993 (Washington, D.C.) and Conference Co-Chair, ACM SIGMIS CPR, 2007 (St. Louis, MO) and now serves as Conference Co-Chair, ICIS 2010 (St. Louis, MO). She oversees the Technology and Commerce Roundtable, a CIO forum and the Project Management Advisory Team. Her education includes a B.A. Syracuse, M.A., University of Chicago, M.A., Columbia University, and Doctorate, Rutgers University. Her certifications include Oracle Master’s and AMIA Health Informatics.
Madeline is President of Weiss Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in strategy and change, particularly related to information management and technology. Utilizing her experience of over 30 years in management, organization strategy and change, and information technology, she consults for business, government, universities, and professional organizations. She is Program Director of SIM's Advanced Practices Council and has been an officer of SIM. Madeline has been an RLF facilitator since 1994. She develops and conducts internal leadership programs for organizations as well.
Ms. Drewry has extensive international experience in the insurance and financial services industry at the senior management level, as a corporate CIO, business unit CIO and as president of a third party administration subsidiary.

Mark currently heads up the Software Engineering division for VirtualSite Solutions (VSS), a position he has held since June 2012. VSS is a joint venture between Caterpillar and Trimble Navigation. VSS' flagship product, VisionLink, is the leading big-data / business intelligence solution for the construction industry. It is based in Westminster, Colorado with development centers in Chennai, India and Christ Church, New Zealand. He joined VirtualSite solutions in June 2012 after a 17 year career as Director of Information Systems at Eagan, MN based Skyline Exhibits, a leading manufacturer of portable and modular trade show exhibits.
Mark has been a member of SIM since 2004 when he joined the Minnesota chapter. He joined the Minnesota Board of Directors in 2008 serving as Marketing Director, and was elected President in 2010 and 2011 where he helped grow the chapter from 40 to 60 members. He also served SIM's National Management council as Information Technology Director in 2010-2012. Since moving to Colorado in 2012 he has been a proud member of the Colorado chapter, serving on the program committee for the 2014 SIMposium event held in Denver.

Daniel Gorecki is Senior Director, Head of Information Technology at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel therapeutics to treat chronic liver diseases. Dan has Chief Information Officer (CIO) responsibility and is responsible for partnering with business leaders to develop and deliver the firm’s technology strategy of a rapidly growing global company.
Before joining Intercept Pharmaceuticals, Dan was Infrastructure Team Manager at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group, one of the largest institutional alternative asset managers globally. At Och-Ziff Dan was focused on design and implementation of the underlying technologies that run all of the firm’s applications, including global Business Continuity Plan.
Dan holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dan is a graduate of the Regional Leadership Forum (RLF) from New York Metro 2015. Before Dan was appointed to the SIM NY Metro Board in 2015 as VP of Technology, he spent the past three years working on the Marketing Committee.

Deborah is a highly engaged and collaborative IT professional with over 25 years of leadership experience. Her diverse skill set includes IT strategic planning,IT business relationship management, business capability roadmap development, cross-functional team leadership, application development, IT governance, vendor contract negotiations, information security, disaster recovery planning, data/database management and business intelligence architecture. Prior to joining SRP, Deborah held the position of Senior Director of Enterprise Data Management at Choice Hotels International, involving strong collaboration with all business areas to provide strategic solutions for their diverse information needs. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in MIS from University of Phoenix. She is a member of the SRP Women’s Interest Network and is board president for the Society for Information Management (SIM) Arizona Chapter.

In August 2013, she accepted the role at Hudson Advisors as the global SVP/Chief Administrative Officer. This position provided the opportunity to globalize other areas of the business and to focus on our most valuable assets, our human capital. Janis left Hudson Advisors in October 2015 to focus on family and plans to reengage in technology strategic initiatives in the near future.
Janis has 35 years of experience in all aspects of business strategy, technology, and global operations in multiple industries, such as oil and gas, retail, marketing and finance with 25 years at a senior management level.

Sanjay Khatnani is a managing partner and founder of J2 Solutions, a successful technology and business consulting firm based in the greater Philadelphia area, where he provides strategic direction to the company, forms and manages partnerships, works with clients to deploy technology solutions that drive organizational growth and manages recruiting operations. Sanjay brings a unique combination of attributes to this role, with more than a decade of IT consulting experience, an in-depth knowledge of the sales and marketing function and a natural ability to develop and nurture relationships. Under his leadership, J2 saw a 554% growth over a three-year period. Prior to forming J2 in 2002, Sanjay ran the pre-sales organization for Niku Corporation’s northeast division. There, he led a team of six in the development and support of client opportunities, and provided subject matter expertise in all aspects of technical pre-sales activities.
In 1998, as a manager with Connaissance Consulting, he was tasked with developing the consulting organization strategy and build-out to support the most efficient use of the staff. As a direct result of his efforts, he increased the consulting delivery utilization rate from 60% to over 90%—driving bottom line growth for the company. His earlier career experience includes positions with Deloitte Consulting in sales and marketing, IT consulting and human resources. Sanjay sits on the advisory council of Tech Impact, a community-based organization that empowers non-profits to use technology. He is a regular speaker for the organization’s ITWorks, an award-winning IT training program for young adults, and is a board member of Philadelphia Society of Information Management (SIM) chapter.
Mr. Skulsky is an accomplished Senior IT Executive with over 20 years of combined success in management consulting and industry with large and mid-sized, global organizations. The majority of his experience spans the life sciences (pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device), Consumer Electronics/Package Goods and Apparel industries.
He specializes in IT organization optimization, systems strategy and delivering business solutions that enable growth while optimizing costs and comply with both FDA and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Jeff has been a member of SIM NJ for a number of years, and has held numerous Executive Committee positions, including 2011/12 President. One of Jeff’s passions is around networking, where he strives to help those around him. James recently joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as Senior Vice President of Global IT Services, heading up their digital transformation. James is very active in Boston SIM and served as Chapter President in 2017. Prior to that, he served as Chapter Vice President, Board Secretary, and co-chaired the Sponsorship/Partnership Committee for a number of years.

Steve Hufford has more than 20 years of experience in IT leadership and consulting in both the private and public sectors. Steve’s focus in IT organizations has been IT operations, performance management and continuous improvement. Steve is also focused on IT compliance and governance. He also has a background in US and international data center design and the development of long-haul telecommunications networks.
In addition, Steve participates on several external technology advisory and steering committees. He has an MBA from Western Governors University and is a 2009 graduate of the SIM Regional Leadership Forum (RLF). Steve served on the board of directors for the Portland chapter of SIM from 2008-2012, and he has served as SIM’s Chief Executive since 2012.
