Outreach Speed Networking Event - Partner Engagement

Join us for an evening of professional development, community engagement, and meaningful relationship-building. This is a great opportunity for SIM members to sharpen their networking skills while giving back to the Outreach community by sharing their experience and advice with students and alumni.

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with light refreshments and informal networking. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet representatives from SIM Boston’s Outreach Partners and connect with other participants before the formal program begins.

The program will open with a 30-minute presentation on effective networking for all attendees. The session will provide practical guidance for building authentic professional relationships and strengthening networking skills, regardless of career level or experience.

Following the presentation, attendees will participate in a one-hour speed networking session featuring students and alumni from SIM Boston’s Outreach Partners. Each round will include an eight-minute conversation followed by a one-minute transition, providing enough time for introductions, meaningful discussion, and professional advice. The session is expected to include six rounds, with brief instructions at the beginning and a wrap-up at the end.

To create the best possible experience and maintain a ratio of no more than three students or alumni per SIM member, we are looking for at least 30 SIM members to participate. SIM members will receive suggested questions to help guide each conversation.

The event will conclude with an open Q&A session, giving participants another opportunity to exchange insights, ask questions, and continue building connections.
